Roberto Cavalli was the star of the Life Ball 2013 in Vienna with a special runway show featuring some of his most famous creations and a MINI Cooper personalized by the designer, which was auctioned off and sold for 150.000 euro, entirely devolved to charity. Many personalities, actors and international celebrities attended the Viennese party, inspired by the ‘1001 nights’ theme.
Under the slogan “1001 Nights”, the party on 25 May at the Life Ball in and in front of Vienna’s City Hall promised to be shrill, colorful and loud, in order to generate donations for Aids relief projects and to promote public awareness of the disease. The Life Ball is Europe’s biggest Aids benefit event.
The opulent opening show at City Hall Square, with numerous appearances by international stars and a fashion show, is open to the public. Every year, 40,000 onlookers follow the colorful goings on. Designer Roberto Cavalli was the designer of this year’s fashion show for the second time and presented a fashion retrospective in 2013.
